I am working on a kernel, Iris, with an operating system around it.
This is a long-term thing; currently it doesn't even have a working
display driver.  When it is finished, I hope it will be better than
Linux, at least for a device such as the NanoNote.  Its main feature is
to put the user (not the kernel, and not the software the the user is
running) in control of all policy decisions.
