Not so wonderful. The FPGA is still proprietary and requires proprietary 
design tools to generate its programming file. However, the same HDL code that 
is used to program the FPGA can be ported to manufacture an actual "hard" chip 
pretty easily (but again, as of today, using proprietary tools... argh!).

Copyleft HDL/logic designs are good, though :)
