Yes, that would work. The location is still a bit inconvenient,
because a double-width space bar occupying the Qi location would
have a more "normal" placement than one occupying the arrow
location.

Here's a comparison of some space bar placements:

			Width	From	To	Center	Reference
-----------------------	-------	-------	-------	------	---------
Standard PC keyboard	6	D, C	K, M+1	G|H	[1]
HHKB 6	D, C	K, M+1	G|H	[2]
OQO 01 2	G, B	H, N	G|H	[3]
Fujitsu U1010 2	G, V	H|J, N	G|H/H	[4]
Sony C1 4.5	F, C	K, M	G|H/H	[5]
Rii Mini 3	H, N	K, M+1	J	[6]
Zaurus C1000 2	F, V	G, B	F|G	[7]
Psion S5 4	D, C	J, N	G	[8]

Ben 1	G, V	G, V	G
Ben with space on Qi	2	G, V	H, B	G|H
Ben with space on arrow	2	F, C	G, V	F|G

Oh, and I forgot one keyboard issue: the power button. It's much
smaller than the hole it goes into, it's off-center, and it has
shiny metal underneath, so it's easy to see that it's off-center.
This makes it look incredibly shoddy, not doing the rest of the
device justice.
