Hmm, why two Ctrl ?

By the way, if you already give the top row ten buttons, you could
also move the digits there. (Move Fn-del down to P.) As a geekish
extra, to keep them in sync with the function keys, they would be
zero-based !

Again, once this change is made, Fn is no longer needed. So you
can even have a second Shift key ;-)

I like the tall Enter. Having a small top row may actually feel
not too weird, because - unlike keys surrounded by others - you
don't have to strike them precisely at the center anyway.

Of course, the addition for two more keys to the function row
means that the current speaker no longer fits. This may be a
problem.

Ah, and kill the evil Caps Lock, move [+ =] in its place, and put
[' "] where [+ =] was. Voila, one step closer to normality.

Oh, and another keyboard idea: have dedicated colored LEDs near
the principal modifiers, Shift, Fn/Arrow, etc. The OQO 01/01+ has
this arrangement, combined with sticky modifiers, and it makes
thumb typing very convenient.
