I suppose you can ping your Nano and it'st not a connection problem.
What ssh daemon have you installed? openssh? dropbear? (I personally
use the lighter dropbear, same than in openwrt)
is the process present (ps ax|grep sshd or ps ax|grep dropbear)
If not what say /etc/init.d/ssh restart or /etc/init.d/dropbear restart
if it is present do you have:
root at nanonotes:~# netstat -t -l
Active Internet connections (only servers)
Proto Recv-Q Send-Q Local Address Foreign Address State
tcp 0 0 *:ssh *:* LISTEN
With these informations it may be easier to help.
