reasons for dissasembly?

I undertook the dissasembly and have the following to say:
1. Even though I did not delve as deep as I could, I only had to undo 4 screws! Compared to the Jornada 720 I dissasembled, it was super easy.
2. In regards to the key problem from the other post, whoever said that the metal was cutting the rubber, they were right. I tried to seperate the rubber from the key from behind, but i think the glue was too strong, therefore, the only way to get the keys off is to have them mangled.
Possible solutions to this problem include putting glue around the edge of the removed keys and trying to integrate them back into the membrane
congrats to whoever designed the layout on making everything so simple to take apart!

I would consider you qualified if you were willing to purchase a new one should you not be able to put it back together. :-) -Alan On Wed, Apr 20, 2011 at 08:16:22PM +0000, Jane Andreas wrote: > I am thinking of dissasembling my Ben, but would like input on possible > reasons.
