On the one hand, I really love irregular verbs.  I think I love the
history of them.  They all come from Old English, where they were
regular forms at the time, and are called strong verbs.  We dig up
obsolete or never existing forms of these verbs 'round here and play
with them from time to time.

wing used to be a noun, but since English is now verbed you could
say wing, wang, wung.  Or arrive, arrove, arriven.

As a native speaker, these games are very fun, and the history of
English has everything to do with it's internal inconsistency--it
arrove (heh) out of merging of different linguistic influences.  So
playing with these forms is an exploration of how English developed
into it's present form.

On the other hand, I can perfectly understand someone who uses
regular forms of irregular verbs.  And I consider that usage just as
playful as using archaic irregular verb forms--you'll have to try
a lot harder than that to kick English in the balls.  ;-)
