Running cross-compiled programs via qemu

I finally managed to run programs compiled with the openwrt toolchain on
my PC using the mipsel user-space emulation:

qemu-mipsel -E LD_LIBRARY_PATH=staging_dir/target-mipsel_uClibc-0.9.32/root-xburst/usr/lib/ -L staging_dir/target-mipsel_uClibc-0.9.32/root-xburst/ staging_dir/target-mipsel_uClibc-0.9.32/root-xburst/usr/bin/octave

runs the nanonote version of octave for me (on Ubuntu 11.04/amd64).

Now i'll have a look whether we can perform emacs second-stage
compilation this way. To make thet clean, we'll need to add package for
adding qemu-mipsel to our toolchain, though.
