Looks like a nice little device ! A spectrum analyzer of this kind
for the 2.4 GHz band with a tuning range covering the entire band
(~100 MHz; the RF Explorer only has 10 MHz) at a comparable price 
could indeed be useful. The 10 MHz span would be acceptable for 
many applications, although more would be better (e.g., 802.11b
channels are 22 MHz wide).
