Networking functions as well!! Including a screenshot from wikipedia under 
lynx. Making it work is actually quite easy:

Change
	/etc/config/network

So this line which reads:
	option ifname	usb0

Becomes:
	option ifname	eth0

Then invoke QEMU with:

qemu-system-mipsel -m 32 -kernel /opt/qemu/vmlinux-qemu -hda <root 
diskimage> -append "root=/dev/sda1 rw console=tty0" -no-reboot -net 
user,net=192.168.254.0/24,host=192.168.254.100 -net nic
