From werner at almesberger.net Tue Apr 12 12:42:58 2016 From: werner at almesberger.net (Werner Almesberger) Date: Tue, 12 Apr 2016 09:42:58 -0300 Subject: Anelok: battery contacts revisited Message-ID: <20160412124257.GA9350@ws> In http://lists.en.qi-hardware.com/pipermail/discussion/2016-March/011019.html I calculated/guessed the length of the contacts (i.e., the distance between rear and battery) as 2.04 mm for Keystone 5225 and 2.54 mm for Keystone 5203. With a nominal battery size of 43.9 mm (+/- 0.6 mm) this yields a total length for battery with contacts of 48.48 mm. I wrote "calculated/guessed" since the drawings of the contacts don't indicate the position relative to the battery (or relative to each other). But I now found this information on in the catalog: http://www.keyelco.com/userAssets/file/Keystone-CatalogM65.pdf Catalog page 37, PDF page 43. They suggest a spacing of 49.5 mm, about 1 mm + tolerance more than what I had. If we assume a tolerance of 2 * 0.1 mm, the case will thus have to grow to a total width of at least 53.7 mm. Since I'll have to stretch it to at least 54.0 mm to accommodate the mechanical buttons anyway, this fits quite nicely. - Werner
