On our 19 new samples, we have production testing software from our vendor. One of the test cases is volume, and I was able to decrease the volume from lever 7 to 0 gradually. I would imagine gradually decreasing volume is achievable with software.

Hi Lars

in my board. use alsamixer change the volume not work. it's
always very loud.

1. add the alsa alsa-utils to rootfs. add mpc/mpd to rootfs 2. as
you said turn the DAC on 3. put ogg file to ~/music 4. change
/etc/mpd.conf file uncomment music db lines 5. mpd --create-db 6.
mpc listall | mpc add 7. mpc play

there is music. but when I use alsamixer adjust the volume. not
work. always 100% I think. did I do something wrong?

thanks for help
The hardware has only for levels of volume which all of the are still
quite loud. if you want to mute the speaker you should toggle the
volume switch. (Press M in alsamixer)
