No luck.  Hitting the reset button doesn't seem to do anything either.

Does it normally make any beeps on start-up?  Mine is very brick like, nothing on the screen and no beeps ever.

The LED on the side is bright red when connected with the battery installed to the PC.  At all other times its off.

With the battery disconnected and it connected to my PC via USB I can watch it power on and off via the power key (watching the device come and go from my PC).  I can also get it go into USB boot mode (Manufacturer changed to JZ4740 USB Boot Device).  Haven't tried reflashing it yet.

I just got my NanoNote yesterday.  When I press the power button nothing happens on the screen.  This is regardless of whether it's running off battery or plugged into my PC via USB.  When I connect it to the PC it does show up as-

Vendor- Netchip Technology, Inc.
Product- Linux-USB Ethernet/RNDIS Gadget
Manufacturer- Linux 2.6.32.3-g023227d-dirty with jz-udc

This caught me as a new user, so it might be worth pointing out. You need to hold the power button for 2-3 seconds. Also, try popping out the battery, disconnecting the USB cable (ie no power) and then popping the battery back in and reconnecting USB.
